Alexander's Bella Blu in Frenchtown, St. Thomas features "Living a Dream, Sharing a Dream", an exhibit of original watercolors and giclee reproductions inspired from sailing the Caribbean by artist Teri Jones. The show opens Friday, July 29, 2005 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm with a meet-the-artist reception featuring complementary champagne and appetizers. The monthly art show is coordinated by Gallery St. Thomas.

The watercolors in "Living a Dream, Sharing a Dream" depict the tranquil yet breathtaking images that artist Teri Jones discovered this past year sailing the Caribbean . Memorable scenes of calm waters near beautiful beaches and dynamic clouds at sunset are among the many landscapes depicted in the show. The show is a thoughtful collection of originals and reproductions selected by the artist to express her joy in having one of her childhood dreams come to fruition: sailing the Caribbean . "I grew up near Chesapeake Bay and was fascinated by the water and sailing. From a young age I had a dream that someday I would sail to all the places that I discovered in my books about the Caribbean ", relates Jones. She realized her dream this year and just returned from a sail that took her from St. Thomas to Venezuela , affording her endless spectacular moments to paint. Jones expresses, "My favorite aspect about being an artist is being able to share the experience. It means a lot to me when someone relates to the vision I put down on paper."

Jones has been sharing her art with the community and its visitors since her arrival on the art scene April 2003. She began painting at Paradise Point in July 2003 and was a featured artist at Alexander's Bella Blu in 2004. Jones is represented by Gallery St. Thomas where her latest originals and giclee reproductions may be found year-round.
